Former American Idol contestant Chris Richardson is prepping his debut album after inking a deal with Cash Money Records.
Richardson reached the top six of the talent show competition in 2007 and is now ready for his solo spotlight.
"I’m really, really family oriented so just having the camaraderie of
everybody at this label is something so special. I can’t really explain
it, but it definitely is inspiring," Richardson told Derick G. during an interview with label boss Birdman.
Birdman added some some encouraging words for the 27-year-old pop singer, saying: "I think he’s a special talent. He’s definitely a sensational artist on our brand, YMCMB."
Richardson will join other pop acts at Cash Money, Which includes Jay Sean and rocker Kevin Rudolf.
