A song about moving on and reclaiming the reigns of one's life, "I Forgive You" is a powerful number with deep reverberating thoughts of redemption, seemingly for Clarkson and the one she is forgiving.
"I forgive you /
We were busy living the dream /
Never noticed the glass ceiling falling in on us /
No shame, no blame' /
Cause the damage is done /
And I forgive you," Clarkson empowers on the track.
Beyond the lyrics, the song has the usual powerful voice of Clarkson bursting through over a heavily laced drum-guitar-bass chorus.
We are starting to see the theme of the album as this third single trails “What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger)” with an undercurrent of inspiration and perseverance. These messages are always a welcome and we can't wait to hear more.
There is currently no video for the number and the release date has yet to be announced but the single looks to not disappoint and leaves a lasting impression nonetheless.
