After a monumental/record breaking year, 23-year-old pop diva Adele will indeed be performing at the 2012 Grammy Awards. The
British soul sensation will be with the likes of pop legend Paul
McCartney, as well as Coldplay, Rihanna, the Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars,
Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift. She is still recovering from throat
surgery so we don't necessarily expect her to be breaking any glasses
but we do expect a great performance nonetheless.
Adele, who is
nominated for six awards, has been out of action since October when a
throat problem forced her to cancel the rest of her U.S. trek.
“I’m immensely proud to have been asked to perform at this
year’s Grammy Awards,” said Adele in a statement. “It’s an absolute honor to be
included in such a night, and for it to be my first performance in
months is very exciting and of course nerve-racking, but what a way to
get back into it all."
Adele is nominated for six awards:
Record of the Year – Rolling In The Deep
Song of the Year – Rolling In The Deep
Album of the Year – 21
Best Pop Solo Performance – Someone Like You
Best Pop Vocal Album – 21
Best Short Form Music Video – Rolling In The Deep
