Katy Perry is currently in talks with Paramount Pictures after the Motion Picture studio, along with Imagine Entertainment, initiated talks with the pop singer's camp.
A documentary-style 3D film centered around Perry could well be in the works, reports say. An inside source says Paramount may reproduce the same basic form used in the concert film featuring Justin Bieber, 'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never,' which holds the domestic box office record for a concert film with $73 million in sales.
Concert films have been gaining a wider audience, with Michael Jackson’s ‘This Is It’ attaining a Worldwide record of $261.2 million in 2009. However, with the floating resurgence, there yet remains the danger that such a project could easily fail. With Perry’s popularity at an all time high, however, the opportunity is ripe.
"The One That Got Away" has just garnered the pop star her sixth No.1 single breaking a Billboard record.
