Madonna has finally spoken out about the Superbowl halftime show debacle. During the show M.I.A. decided the best way to express herself was to give the middle finger to the audience and millions of viewers at home.
Madonna called into 'On Air with Ryan Seacrest' this morning and said, "I was really surprised. I didn’t know anything about it. I wasn’t happy about it."
She continued, "I understand it’s punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy, and positivity, it seemed negative. It’s such a teenager ... irrelevant thing to do ... there was such a feeling of love and unity there. What was the point?...it was just out of place."
Meanwhile M.I.A. is seemingly reaping benefits from her stunt; her name is widely more known in households and her music has seen more web-play.
