On Tuesday (Feb. 14), Young Money femcee Nicki Minaj released the ultimate crossover hip hop/pop single "Starships," the first of the rapper's collaborations with producer RedOne.
"Starships" is led by a bubbly instrumentation and the catchy hook: "I'm on the floor, floor /
I love to dance /
So give me more more, till I can't stand /
Get on the floor, floor /
Like it's your last chance /
If you want more, more /
Then here I am."
Producer RedOne recently spoke with Billboard about her working with Minaj on several tracks. "It's four songs we did."
He continues: "The tracks that I've worked with on Nicki Minaj are amazing, incredible. To be honest, I am so happy and excited for what people are going to think."
"She's an incredible artist, very inspiring," RedOne added. "A character, a beautiful person, it's all in one."
Minaj's "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" is due April 3.
