John Mayer is back with the brand new single "Shadow Days," set to hit iTunes on MArch 6. The track will appear on his forthcoming studio album 'Born and Raised,' due May 22 via Columbia Records.
"Well I ain't no troublemaker/ And I never meant her harm," Mayer croons
over the acoustic guitar tune. "I'm a good man, with a good heart/ Had a
tough time, got a rough start."
'Born and Raised,' the follow-up to 2009's 'Battle Studies,' was produced by Mayer and Don Was, who has helmed albums by the Rolling Stones and Bonnie Raitt, among others.
Along with the single, Mayer has also announced plans to tour in 2012. His upcoming 18-city trek will kick off April 9 in Bloomington and continue across North America until early May. Kacey Musgraves will take on supporting act.
