According to reports, UK pop group One Direction turned down an invite from First Lady Michelle Obama to perform live at the White House this coming weekend due to a previously scheduled event.
Mrs. Obama allegedly met the group backstage during the recent Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles after attending the event to present the Big Help Award to Taylor Swift.
"She invited them to the White House for their annual Easter egg hunt on
Easter Monday. It was such an honor," a source told The Sun.
The guys
couldn't go because they had to fly to Australia, but "they'd love to go
another time," the source added.
