Canadian-born pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen performed her hit “Call Me Maybe” at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. The third runner up on Canadian Idol, Jepsen caught the attention of Justin Beiber, who tweeted “Call me maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen is possibly the catchiest song I've ever heard lol.” Call Me Maybe hit number one in Canada and cracked the top 40 in the States.
The bubbly singer’s performance had the crowd on their feet as she invites a crush to call her in the song’s lyrics. Wearing a sparkly green tank and pearlescent pants, the 26-year-old singer danced around the stage inviting a party atmosphere. Balloons bounced on a background screen and soon fell among the crowd at performance end.
