Coldplay released the music video for “Princess of China” featuring Rihanna. The feature includes various scenes of Asian culture. Lead vocalist Chris Martin sports a ninja costume as he and Rihanna perform while kneeling in a desert, then becoming contenders in a sword-fight in the sky. Rihanna shared some photos and described her look as “gangsta goth geisha.”
“Princess of China” is from Coldplay’s newest album "Mylo Xyloto.”
About the Rihanna collaboration, Martin says, “Her bit on our record is my favorite bit…When the song came out, it sort of asked for her to be on it,” he tells MTV News. “And I think at this point, we have nothing to lose, and so we've been trying some new things and trying to break down the perceived boundaries between different types of music."
