Katy Perry is focusing on a positive future and not any heartbreak she might have experienced with Russell Brand.
Discussing her forthcoming follow up to "Teenage Dream," Katy Perry says "I'd never devote a whole record to heartbreak."
"I'm happy. I'm in a good place. I'm looking forward to my future," Perry shared with The Sun recently.
At this point is unclear how far along Perry is with the album.
In related news, Katy Perry spoke highly of the recently released movie "Part of Me." Claiming she really is a "simple girl" at heart, Perry says it's cool to play dress up but that is not reality.
"No one could walk out of their house being flawless and having all these material possessions. It is not cool to paint that picture all the time. I think it’s great to dress up and play on all the girly features.“But at the end of the day, I am pretty plain Jane when I go to bed and wake up," says Perry. "I am just a simple girl who had a dream and basically hustled the whole way here."
