She's done it again. Carly Rae Jepsen has the number one song in the country, with "Call Me Maybe," for a seventh week.
Holding on to the top spot on Billboard's coveted Hot 100, "Call Me Maybe" is now a record breaking single.
According to Billboard, the hit song is officially the longest reign for a female recording artist signed to Interscope Records.
"With a seventh week at the Hot 100's summit, Jepsen calls a piece of Hot 100 history her own, as "Maybe" tallies the longest reign for a song by a woman signed to Interscope Records," reports Billboard. "The single passes Lady Gaga's "Born This Way," which ruled for six weeks last year. Among all Interscope acts, the Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling" leads with 14 weeks at No. 1 in 2009."
Jepsen's seventh week comes to pass with the help of additional sales. Following her performance at the Much Music Awards, Jepsen raked in an additional 164,000 downloads last week.
