UK sensation Olly Murs is gearing up for his first U.S. release.
Discussing the project, which is due in September, Murs has been heavily inspired by Adele.
"I got inspiration for that track from Adele. I wanted to do a record that wasn't about heartbreak but about meeting the right girl. It's a day dream thinking about the perfect girl. She's out there somewhere waiting for me," Murs says of his song 'I Need You Now."
While some are familiar with "I Need You Now," Murs is happy to confirm a follow up to that record will be on "In Case You Didn't Know."
"I just wrote a song for the new album called "One of These Days". It's a similar vibe-y song," Murs told Artist Direct.
Currently on tour, Murs is planning to release "In Case You Didn't Know" September 25 in the U.S.
"There's more old school Motown. There's some '90s beats in there. I wanted to make an album that was really eclectic and vibe-y from start to finish. It gives people a chance to listen to all kinds of music in one album, which is nice," Murs says of the album. "It's not everything of course, but there's a good vibe, and it makes people smile. I'm really pleased with it."
