Mariah Carey, Melanie Amaro To Debut Singles

Mariah Carey and X Factor USA winner Melanie Amaro will have a diva showdown come Thursday.

According to recent reports, both will release singles within hours of each other on Wednesday, August 1 and Thursday, August 2.

Significant as both songs lead their anticipated albums, the veteran and newbie will have the ear of many a music fan.

"I've never got this close #DontFailMeNow #3DaysToGo," Melanie Amaro told her followers on Twitter Sunday.

Titled "Don't Fail Me Now," the single follows Amaro's commercial debut via a rendition of Aretha Franklin's "RESPECT." Released at the top of the year, that song coincided with her infamous Pepsi Super Bowl ad featuring Elton John and Flavor Flav.

Following confirmation that she is the new judge on "American Idol," Mariah Carey's new single is titled "Triumphant (Get Em')." Featuring Rick Ross and Meek Mill, the single is said to be the title track of her next album.

Not wasting any time, Carey is shooting a music video for the track this week.

"On the set of the TRIUMPHANT (Get 'Em) video shoot. Get ready for a triumphant week, we have surprises every day," Carey tweeted Monday.

With all of that said, let's hope this week pans out well for both.
