Miley Cyrus will not be walking down the aisle anytime soon. Despite her engagement (Liam Hemsworth), Cyrus says having a ceremony is not high on her list of things to do.
"Life is too short not to be with the person you want to be with. I don't really care about the wedding or the piece of paper as much as I do the promise we've made to each other," says Cyrus.
Engaged this Spring, Cyrus and Hemsworth have been dating for some time and appear to be very happy together. That said, she sees no problem with an extended engagement.
"We want to have a long engagement," she tells Marie Claire in the September 2012 fashion (see behind the scenes video below).
As for her vintage 3.5 carat ring, Cyrus says it is great because it has a story.
"I just love that it's old and has a story. And I'm happy because it doesn't look like anything else I wear," says Cyrus.
