It might be hard to believe, but Taylor Swift has never had a chart-topping song on the Billboard Hot 100. That was until today.
According to Billboard, the talented vocalist's new single "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" rocketed straight to the top of the chart Wednesday.
Not only rising 72-1, the single sold a whopping 623,000 downloads !
"It's the largest digital sales week ever for a song by a woman, and the second-best overall. Only the arrival of Flo Rida's "Right Round" (636,000 in 2009) was bigger," reports Billboard.
Swift had previously reached No. 2 twice, with "You Belong With Me" (2009) and "Today Was A Fairytale" (2010).
This new single leads her anticipated fourth studio album, "Red," due October 22 via Big Machine Records.
