"American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips has a brand new song.
Following his hit debut recording "Home," Phillips performed his first original track titled "Take Me Away" in Philadelphia Thursday.
Knowing fans have been waiting for something fresh, Phillips later posted the song and left a little message.
"I know you guys have been wanting an original.. here's one. hope ya like it," said Phillips.
As previously reported, Phillips is currently on tour with the "American Idols Live" trek. He is expected to release his debut album later this year, if not early 2013.
