Nick Jonas may be in the running for a seat on "American Idol," but that won't stop him from appearing on "The X Factor USA."
According to a report Tuesday, Jonas will be joining Demi Lovato during the "house" portion of the series. He follows in the footsteps of fellow "American Idol" judge hopefuls Enrique Iglesias and Pharrell Williams.
In his role, Jonas will help Lovato narrow her group of contestants, divided by things like age, down to a final group of four that will perform during the live shows. Typically this role is fleeting, just an episode or two.
Nonetheless, it may be a great chance for Jonas to showcase his skills when it comes to judging talent.
"The X Factor USA" premieres Wednesday, September 12 on FOX.
