Demi Lovato had a big night at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards Thursday.
Not only did the "X Factor USA" judge win Best Video With a Message for "Skyscraper," she also performed during the pre-show.
Taking the stage early on, Lovato impressed with strong stage presence and gratitude for fans there to support her.
