Last week, Australian singer-songwriter Delta Goodrem revealed the cover art for her long-awaited upcoming fourth studio album 'Child Of The Universe,' the follow up to her 2007 effort 'Delta.' The set is led by the single "Sitting On Top Of The World," which garnered platinum status down under, Delta's first since 2003's "Predictable." Other singles include "Dancing With A
Broken Heart," which failed to make an impact and the recently released "Wish You Were Here," which stormed Aussie's iTunes Top 20.
"Wish You Were Here" is a personal and emotional record for Goodrem, s she pays tribute to her close friend Liam O’Flaherty who died
in a motorcycle accident in 2009 at the age of 24.
"I tried a million different ways to write this song," she says. "I had to have a song about this moment in my life of losing one of my best friends. Then on his actual birthday, it was two years later, I said I’m not leaving this day without having the song about it. You can try a million ways, I wrote probably 20 songs about it, and then on his actual birthday, I wrote this song.”
'Child Of The Universe' will be released on October 26 and will include a deluxe edition (See track list below).
