Carly Rae Jepsen took her sweet and bubbly single "The Kiss" to David Letterman last night (Oct 25), giving viewers a feel-good treat. The song, which serves as her third single, was lifted from her debut album 'Kiss.'
As recently reported by Medley, Jepsen will receive the Billboard Rising Star of 2012 honor after a breakout year with hit single "Call Me Maybe." Set to receive the prestigious award at the Billboard Women in Music event in New York on November 30, Jepson hopes to "inspire others."
"As a singer-songwriter having grown up listening to and being influenced by countless female artists, I am truly honored to be recognized by Billboard with this award," says Jepsen in a statement. "I hope to inspire others through my music the way those artists have inspired me."
