It's finally here. Carly Rae Jepsen has unleashed the music video for her third single "The Kiss," which is lifted from her debut album, 'Kiss,' in stores now. In the Justin Francis-directed clip, the pop newcomer parties with friends, while keeping her eyes locked to a certain admirer. The visuals show a more mature side of the 26-year-old.
As recently reported by Medley, Jepsen will receive the
Billboard Rising Star of 2012 honor after a breakout year with hit
single "Call Me Maybe." Set to receive the prestigious award at the
Billboard Women in Music event in New York on November 30, Jepson hopes
to "inspire others."
"As a singer-songwriter having grown up
listening to and being influenced by countless female artists, I am
truly honored to be recognized by Billboard with this award," says
Jepsen in a statement. "I hope to inspire others through my music the
way those artists have inspired me."
