Soul/Pop singer Nelly Furtado is front and center on the latest cover of Amnesia Magazine. In the image, "The Spirit Indestructible" singer is seen with her eyes closed, while her hair is being brushed.
Furtado recently unleashed her fifth studio album, The Spirit
Indestructible, which saw lackluster sales, moving only 6,000 copies in the US and less than
2,650 copies in the UK during its first week on sale. She defended the LP's sales, insisting she never debuts high.
"I have very few albums that debut high," Furtado told the Huffington Post. "I've had kind of everything happen to me commercially and at different levels."
She continues: "I've had different scenes and I've dabbled in a lot of markets so I see the music world as very global. I'm always looking for new avenues and opportunities, so one chart or anything doesn't necessarily [mean everything]."
The entertainer plans to continue promoting the album globally.
